Abstract

In the sentence beginning “Meibomian gland function and secretion quality:…” in this article, the values “…five meibomian glands in the middle parts of the eyelid were assessed using a scale of 0 to 3 for each gland (0 represented clear meibum; 1 represented cloudy meibum; 2 represented cloudy and granular meibum; and three represented thick meibum with toothpaste-like consistency)” should have read “…eight meibomian glands in the middle parts of the eyelid were assessed using a scale of 1 to 4 for each gland (1 represented clear meibum; 2 represented cloudy meibum; 3 represented cloudy and granular meibum; and 4 represented thick meibum with toothpaste-like consistency)”. In Table 2 of this article, the scales in the row headings TFLL (0–4), MGQ (1–5) and MGEx (1–5) were incorrect, and it should have been read as TFLL (1–5), MGQ (1–4) and MGEx (1–4). The original article has been corrected.
